Saturday Column: Why do Koch contributions trigger such scorn?

Yes... we progressives are just showered with love from the right. How dare we start to stand up for our and others basic human equal rights! Bad, bad liberals!

Wichita clinic says it provided 1,200 abortions

I've always wondered how people who believe abortion kills a Human...a soul...how can they sit back and allow mass murder to occur? They should be storming the facilities by the millions. Where are they? Where are their convictions? I don't agree with their beliefs...but I don't understand them.

Are e-cigarettes a savior or just smoke and mirrors?

Legal yes...but impossible to smoke...there is no smoke, only vapor.

Are e-cigarettes a savior or just smoke and mirrors?

Calling e-cigarettes a tobacco product is like calling my hot chocolate coffee just because it's in a coffee cup. E-cigarettes could just as easily be lumped with asthma inhalers. They are a nicotine delivery device...are nicotine patches or is nicotine gum lumped with tobacco products? Don't get me wrong...I HATE tobacco use. Nicotine is not tobacco.

County to seek gun law exemption

If you want to carry a weapon...go join a "well regulated militia"...you know, like the United States Constitution tells us to do. I did. I was proud to carry that weapon to defend that constitution. In a million years I would not carry a weapon as a civilian around the public...never.

High school game-day T-shirts cause stir

Every student we attempted to interview the night of the game walked quickly away...we were lucky to get the one pic. If there is an alternative definition to the word peasant that you don't think is offensive I'd like to hear it. And the both sides do it is a questionable position to take. If you ever see an offensive shirt worn by a LHS student in the future, please notify an administrator...hopefully he/she will take appropriate action.

High school game-day T-shirts cause stir

Generally of course not..but when the message on that clothing could easily be interpreted to be violating the USD497 anti-bullying policies, I feel the students should have been asked to remove the shirts by administrators and teachers. I'm not even saying the students should have complied...simply that it would have been nice if the adults in charge of the event would have let the students know the shirts were tacky to say the least and potentially offensive.
