Letter: Cooker control
I can't believe that The LJW would print this BS! To satirize what took place in Boston 8 days ago is utterly tasteless. Such is the paranoid right!

Sound Off: The city has hired a paving company for the area around Quail Run School and the paving i
This micro surfacing was done in our subdivision. The pockmarks in our area were caused by local residents who did not read material left on their door by the company, or just flat out did not think it applied to them. It stated that the surface should not be driven on for a few hours after application.

Town Talk: Downtown Italian restaurant set to open today; sad tale of how Lawrence Hereford House led to crime; city to recycle unwanted trash cans on Friday
Being from St Louis, I have dined at all of The Gitto Family Restaurants. I had lunch at Inforno today. I have to disagree about the menu being overpriced. With all of the clamoring in Lawrence over whether or not Olive Garden will come. Have you people never had real Italian? Where is the nearby competition? Yes I guess it is overpriced if you are comparing it to fast food. There is no other Italian in Lawrence that compares. In fact the only real Italian that I have encountered in the state of Kansas is Gorozzo''s in OPK.

KU football player gets DUI diversion
Do they have a basketball diversion? You know cheaper? It is laughable how KU athletes are defended in this town. The DUI laws in Kansas are joke compared to other states. Hope none of you defenders ever me meet a drunk "head on".

Statehouse Live: State unemployment rate drops to nearly four-year low
I can tell you how I personally contributed to the lowering of the Kansas Unemployment Rate, I went back to work in Missouri, where I can earn a decent salary! Kansas sucks, yeah there is a shortage of qualified workers for jobs available in Kansas. Some people do not want to work for peanuts.
So all of you "Conservatives" who think this has something to do with Sam Brownback, allow me to borrow one of your favorite phrases.............Keep drinking the Kool-Aid!

Town Talk: City seeks to ban Chinese lanterns; Iwig Dairy store keeping eye open for new location; Zarco 66 owner deep in ethanol debate; electric car charging station for downtown
Its not the Iwig lot that is the problem, its the weenie drivers in Lawrence.

Business owners: Kansas lacks qualified workers
Kansas lacks skilled workers because as a state, it is not friendly to the worker! Wages for skilled labor suck in "Right to Work" Kansas. No thank you, Kansas, I'll continue to commute to Missouri and earn an additional $10 to $14 K annually. All of you smart conservatives, go ahead and blame it on whatever, truth is you are your beloved "kool aid" drinkers and you will never be as rich as your talking head Bill O.
