Grocery stores compete for customer loyalty with gas discounts

I kind of like Hyvee's program, I went there all last week, didn't buy to mouch out of the norm, but did take advantage of certain things they had specials on. when it was all said and done I hadn't spent anymore than I usually would at Hyvee, and was able to save a total of 83 cents per gallon at the end of the week. With gas at 2.97 a gallon, I got 20 gallons for 2.14 a gallon. Not to bad.

I remember in 2008, when the school district did a kids vote campaign. The results were in the LJW and every single democrat won by a 3 to 1 margin. No agenda here!

Area high school football roundup: Eudora donuts De Soto; Wellsville still undefeated

So 4 days since there victory, and almost halfway through this week, still no article on Lawrence High Football, and the fact they are the lone team from the town representing us in districts. No announcement as to who we are playing or when and where it is. Evidentally when Free State got knocked out the folks at LJ World just figured the season was over. Incredible.......Had the game gone the other way and circumstances reversed, their most likely would have been a two-article in depth playoff coverage of the Firebird prowess.....
