How do you think the city of Lawrence handled the snowstorm?
Pre-treatment was a good idea, but then they dropped the ball after the snow hit. They've put hundreds of man hours into cleaning up the piles down town where the streets are already cleared. That should have been done only after all the streets have been cleared. It's Saturday and they haven't touched any of the neighborhood streets around me. If they eventually plow my street, there will be a pile of ice and packed snow chunks in front of my drive. I'll have to use a heavier metal round-tip shovel or a grain scoop to move those chunks. A real lack of leadership or experience managing snow removal. Hopefully, it will be addressed.

Mail deliveries interrupted by snow; normal schedule should return Saturday
I couldn't care less about the mail being delayed a day. But the city has it's priorities screwed up. I had my driveway, sidewalks, and those of my neighbors cleaned w/in an hour of both snows. The city hasn't still hasn't cleared my street and it's Saturday! They've spent hundreds of man hours picking up piles of snow where the streets are already cleared. If they eventually do plow my street, they'll leave an impassable pile of chunks of frozen snow and ice in front of my driveway. A snow shovel is useless against that; a heavier metal round-tip shovel or a grain scoop shovel must be used to dig out these piles. I'd love to know who's in charge of this debacle and his/her explanation.

Street name change would create intersection of Fambrough and — ack! — Missouri
He had a losing record as a coach. Help me out here, what was it did that we should honor him for?

Do you think the section of Missouri Street next to the stadium should be renamed to honor Don Fambrough?
Grow up .
You must be related to him to come back to this four years later. He couldn't muster his own troops adequately, so he spent the rest of his years bad-mouthing the state next door. Get over it. Missouri has moved on and so have the rest of us. We're sick of hearing about this and don't want the frickin' street names changed. You missed the boat with your media-created "border war." Now, just go away.

Street name change would create intersection of Fambrough and — ack! — Missouri
This is absolutely the stupidest idea ever thought up by anyone in this town. It's been stopped twice. Why is it being resurrected for a third time.?
I thought Fambroughs's rantings were just a way to get attention. I couldn't believe that an adult was speaking. Neither could many of the players. In a nutshell (and as others have pointed out), embarrassing.
Was Hugh Carter absent when we were threatened with this previously by Sue Hack or is she pulling his strings now? Hugh, I don't think you actually knew that much about the man. I think you just need attention too. Why don't you suggest changing Bob Billings St. back to 15th and Clinton Pwky. back to 23rd St. We'd all appreciate that.
Take this idea back to where it came from. The majority of us don't want the street names changed and certainly not in honor this person.
Go find something else to name if YOU loved him so much. I don't believe you did.
Were you a big Terry Allen fan too?
Get a clue, Hugh.
