Anyone who knows both Calipari and Self also knows there is little similarity between the two coaches. Comparing the two of them is like comparing OJ Simpson to Marcus Allen. Coach Self and Marcus Allen have moral compasses. Calipari and Simpson would need the help of a GPS, and even then they would have a hard time reading the instructions.

Opinion: New Orleans has inspiring rebirth
Before retirement, I had to attend a number of meetings in New Orleans. I eventually hated going there because of the filth and crime. And the food was over rated. Until recently,my wife had never been there, and she kept insisting that she wanted to go. Well, we went back in March. It is the same dirty, overpriced, crime ridden swamp. I could see no improvement.

Unions have outlived their usefulness. Their thugs have no place in public workplaces. If a public employee has a problem with his employer, or his workplace, and that issue can not be corrected through the normal professional complaint process, then he needs to look for work elsewhere. Public sector unions provide the taxpayer no benefits, and most often they simply are a mechanism for under performing employees to stay on the payroll.

Good article. Krauthammer is spot on as usual. And it is ironic how the libs like to criticize him for a lack of credibility, considering their leaders are named Pelosi, Reid, Holder, and Obama. Now that's a group with absolutely NO credibility. Bengazi, Obamacare, Fast and Furious come to mind .

School board studies 'critical race theory' in work on equity issues
Wow,n $217,000 paid to a consulting firm for what? "Consulting firm" is simply a term meaning a company has a license to steal. This money is being wasted during a time Lawrence Public Schools are ranked low and simply failing to educate our children. This money would have been better spent on teacher's salaries. Superintendent Doll should apply for a position with GSA since he is so talented on wasting taxpayer money on useless nonsense.

Could not agree more. That's why my wife and I only spend a few weeks a year in Lawrence. Lawrence has very little to offer to those of us who are retired.

underdeveloped area? I really don't want anyone to release these critters near my farm. Maybe the "chick" would appreciate someone releasing a skunk near her store?
