Ozawkie man, 43, identifed as victim in fatality accident
For the record it was reported by several customers that Brian was so intoxicated he couldn't stand. In this case the bartender is to blame for continuing to serve him. But in your statement you are correct some people don't show signs of intoxication.

Ozawkie man, 43, identifed as victim in fatality accident
Thanks Cammieb for posting the web site, yes Brian made the choice to drink and drive, we all make mistakes, this one being costly. But the place he was drinking to much and being served to much was not a public bar, it was a local members only. The bartender wasn't looking for tips or making money. The bottom line is Brian made a bad choice and paid the price, now the Sheriff's department and State of Kansas ABC needs to complete the investigation and charge the bartender for breaking the law. If this is swept under the rug it will happen again, who knows next time the drunk driver will kill someoneelse.

Ozawkie man, 43, identifed as victim in fatality accident
Brian was a very nice guy, he will be missed. Yes it was a tragic accident, but I wonder will Jeff. Co leave it as it is or will they continue to investigate why the bartender continued to serve him and then allow him to drive away. This is now a criminal case involving an accident.

Eudora names acting fire chief following resignation
Wow, interesting. Thanks for that info, like i said seemed to be more to the story than reported. If it was something illegal is there a criminal investigation or swept under the carpet investigation.

Eudora names acting fire chief following resignation
What is going on in Eudora? First the Police Chief now the fire Chief. The statement in the article is fishy, because for the last 10 years Eudora has had a full time fire chief. There is more to this story with both Chiefs. LJW you need to dig alittle deeper, on this story.

Appeals court says Lawrence officer violated Fourth Amendment in DUI case
I think the officer made the correct call. If she would have left went back to station and wrote up a search warrant (which is no easy process) and than tracked down a judge to sign off on it. When she would have returnd to the house thedriver would say he had been drinking in his house and his lawyer would had advised him to say the same thing. Just another exampe of a drunk getting off free and beating the system. Lets hope today he doesn't kill someone when he drive's drunk again because he will.
