Letter: Late Night behavior

Students are able to purchase game tickets for $10. That is one hell of a perk. I believe students and Williams Fund donors should have access to the best seats for the games – these are the folks who support the program. Late Night has been the one night where those who don’t fall into either of those groups had access to the best seats in the house. Let them have that one night – the students and donors can have the other 20 or so nights each season.

City approves agreement for SLT/Bob Billings interchange

Not sure what your definition of close is, but the new interchange will be almost 5 miles west of the intersection of 15th Street and Iowa. I don’t think that this interchange is particularly close to campus.

Also, all of the information you need is made available by the city. All you have to do is look for it.

Bicyclist killed in accident on South Lawrence Trafficway identified as 29-year-old Lawrence woman

She was CROSSING the SLT at the designated crossing. The habits of drivers at this intersection makes it very unsafe. I'm curious to see who disobeyed the signal - the driver or the cyclist. I use this intersection a lot and see a lot of drivers, cyclists and pedestrians disobey the signals frequently.

OL Pearce Slater ‘recruited’ by fellow signee

October is the 10th month. 10+61 = 71. Seems like a stretch to me, but it could be worse.

Business prepares to move to make way for South Lawrence Trafficway; details and speculation about what else the SLT may bring

No offense, but the KU Student Senate lacks the power needed to halt construction. Follow me here – KU is funded by the State of Kansas, which is run by Brownback. KDOT is funded by the same state and governor. KU will not donate land to halt construction of a KDOT project. That, for lack of a better term, would be a financial suicide. Time is running out and I think this project will move forward. The first few days may be interesting, but this highway will get built.

Who is Mr. Chase? Who is Mr. Chase's daughter? Who is Mr. Chase's son-in-law? What "pie" does he have his fingers in? We need to know!

Sound Off: Why in warm or hot weather does it always smell like raw sewage between Sixth and Tenness

You do know that the water treatment plant is just north of there, right?

KU pulls out of deal for sports complex at NW corner of Sixth and SLT, proposes plans for larger complex on new site

This new site is served by city sanitary sewer and water already, as well as George Williams Way. The street may need widened, though.
