Letter to the editor: City critters

Thanks, Ken, for the reasoned response. I'm leaning towards your opinion, but with a jaundiced eye.

Letter to the editor: City critters

I'm undecided about the proposed changes, but I think Ken's comparisons are off the mark. Most neighborhoods don't suffer from the Mass. Street problems he mentioned. They are, however, examples of abusing one's rights to legal activities. Can we really expect everyone to act as responsibly as the goat owners described in Ken's reply?

North Lawrence home has wild St. Patrick's Day morning, police say

maybe she was in a hurry maybe she thought it was a simple enough sentence that the average joe could understand it maybe she knows it's just an informal reply maybe she's making a statement against retentive grammar grouches

Should Kansas do away with daylight saving time?

I love the DST. Keep it as it is or expand it year round. I don't care if it's dark later into the morning in the winter months. Unless you have the good fortune not to be tied to a workday schedule, DST does indeed have a positive impact on your after work activities.

Westar seeks to hike residential customer costs

Why do they wanna raise the school's rates by 29%. It certainly can't be because they're overfunded.
