Midco gives Lawrence Public Library $90,000 for new computers

Thanks Midco! Would there be any funds now for a book pick up at the Clinton Parkway Hy-Vee and expansion of 6th St.? Those are the best idea ever and I know there is a backlog with not enough boxes!!! A great way to have mini satellite library pick up and returns!!!! I am a huge fan!

Is the city preparing to put stop signs at traffic circles and roundabouts across Lawrence?

My first thought was SERIOUSLY!!! I detest roundabouts and always wondered what it was about the word STOP people do not understand. They are the same ones zipping thru as fast as possible and not looking!!!

Lawrence City Commission to consider $1.6M grant for pedestrian tunnel under Iowa Street

Tunnels are not safe. I will take my chances with traffic. Unless they will have security 24/7.

Plan for large shopping center at SLT and Iowa Street interchange still alive, but delayed again

I just had to laugh, all of a sudden roundabouts aren't good enough after they supported putting them all over town? I wonder what the next lame reason they will have to delay this project. Let them proceed....

Lawrence City Commission explains support for $17 million police headquarters

I would give our police whatever they need to do their job and be safe and cut something else. The no vote was a backlash obviously to some unpopular and not very well managed projects. That said, this still says your vote did not matter. You vote no, we will find a new path.
