Pedestrian injured in 23rd Street accident

Skeptical about what? I was stopped on 59 for construction.... I observed a truck rush through the stop. (I did not see the actual hit and run.)

Yesterday two kids with traffic cones on their heads ran across 23rd street during rush hour traffic. to my horror we hit one.

Wow. this place is stressful.
signing out now.

Pedestrian injured in 23rd Street accident

Yes that is me.........

The two boys were crossing 23rd street. Not Vermont. the JW got it wrong.

And yes it is a strange coincidence........what are you implying?

My big concern is that these things don't come in threes!

Pedestrian injured in 23rd Street accident

I was a passenger in the car that hit him. We were heading east on 23rd. We were about to pull into the left hand turn lane to turn left on Mass. We were slowing down. Traffic was backed up almost to Vermont. All of the sudden we hit a kid with a traffic cone on his head. He went into the windsheild. leaving a chunk of hair. We might have been going 15-20 mphI. I was hysterical. Jumped out He was conscience and talking. the other kid who fortunately did not get hit was pretty shaken up. The police confiscated the traffic cones.

We have since talked to the kid and his parents on the phone . His leg is broken and will need a pin. No head trauma or internal injuries. We are all greatly relieved.

Two construction workers killed in hit-and-run on U.S. 59; two women taken into custody

This morning I was heading to Baldwin Junction Veterinarian with a very unhappy cat.

I was right behing the truck that rushed the traffic controller. The Highway worker with the stop sign waved frantically to try get the truck to stop. She ran right through the sign she was holding breaking it in half. The truck countiued speeding on south of 59. Apparently hitting the workers further on.

I asked the guard if if she was OK? She was very shaken and said the same truck had rushed through earlier going the other direction. Shortly after another van rushed through almost like they were chasing the truck. Then the Ambulances and helicopters started coming. Eventually they let me turn around and find another way to Baldwin.

Crazy way to start the day.
