Lawmakers not giving up on reversing Brownback tax policies

Am I understanding this correctly? Wagle criticized Brownback for vetoing a bill that she then turned around and voted against. Does that make sense? And if she's getting constituents 10 to 1 wanting to override Brownback's vote, why is she just ignoring them? Talk about trying to straddle both sides of the fence.

Letter to the editor: Dump Pitts

Thank you for publishing Leonard Pitts' columns. I find them to be well written, on target and full of food for thought. I do not have to read only things I agree with, and I think his voice is one that needs to be heard. He is not writing just for black people, although it makes sense that treatment of minorities is a common theme for him. If he wrote articles that appealed only to white people, I wouldn't be reading it. Please do not consider discontinuing his column. By the way, I am a senior white woman who does not believe in labeling people as liberal or conservative as a way to denigrate one or the other.

Yoder voted 'yes' on overhaul of ethics office, although getting that answer wasn't easy

I think some of you are missing the point. Thank you, Peter Hancock and Yael Abouhalkah.

Kansas conservative think tank launching its own news service

Dave Trabert seems a bit defensive. So, now that he will have his own little venue for spreading the misinformation he is so famous for, perhaps we will not have to read his comments here. Good name for a publication, but perhaps it should be spelled SIN-tinel.

Editorial: The Facebook problem

Opinions will always be biased. It's impossible to express an opinion without showing bias. Maybe you meant another word?

Letter to the editor: Not deplorable

I would not call you deplorable, but during those years you were so dutifully doing your secret service was the Internet available to you? It's not so difficult to place work in a vault while you go to the bathroom. This is comparing apples and oranges. Get over the fact that Clinton, like many of us, needed to learn about the use and security of email. She has admitted her mistake. It's great that you did your job so well, but the next time you want to write about candidates for the office of the presidency, could you tell us more about the candidates and their positions rather than yourself? Were you just as upset when George W. Bush "lost" 22 million emails?

Kansas judge to consider blocking state’s two-tiered voting

So, you are saying illegal immigrants want to vote? If you were an illegal immigrant in the United States and trying to stay under the radar, why would you expose yourself and go vote? Have you been reading about the documented voter fraud in Kansas? The two or three cases were not Hispanic people, but older white Republicans. Everything is not black and white nor Republican and Democrat. It really is almost laughable that you say WHAT IF Trump started lying. Where have you been getting your news?
