Lawrence cyclist seriously injured in collision with vehicle

I have, and I do. Until this year that bike path was incomplete, it is better now. This intersection where he was hit is complicated by the sidewalk turning away from the street right before crossing the drive. It also does this by CVS further down. This causes the Pedestrian/Cyclist to turn their back towards traffic. A car is required to yield to traffic in the bikepath, few do.

Seems to me the first builder had a hard time getting paid for his work. I hope the new contractor has better luck. My only time at dinner there was marked by observing the line cook overheat his pan, catch the oil on fire, then putting his face in the pan and blowing hard repeatedly to extinguish the flames.

Police cite driver suspected in downtown accident with cyclists

Let us see how you fare when that cyclist at 20mph hits you while you are walking down the sidewalk and step in front of him while you were talking on your phone. The time has come for us to catch up with the rest of the world.

Final tidbits from Tuesday's Lawrence City Commission election

$30k for a city commission seat that pays how much? Most experts seem to agree that moving to November would politicize our city races, putting a D or R after the candidates? I think Lawrence would be better served by a ward system - present system allows one block, the Chamber/West Lawrence crowd to control the commission, leaving many areas without representation. What would Western Kansas say if we used an at large system at the state level?
