School board studies 'critical race theory' in work on equity issues

Yes, you can look them up. Define white privilege in todays society. I'm curious how going to predominantly mixed schools, being poor, kept indoors because it was too dangerous to play is privileged in your eyes? Didn't realize how privileged all white people are in your eyes. Any 'privileged' white people want to pay my loans off? Give me free money? Anything? Naaah, I'm privileged. Isn't stereotyping a form of racism?

You can look up the thousands of scholarships... It is more than just in school, life in general. Why is it hard to hold everyone accountable and treat everyone the same? No excuse for not getting through high-school, none. Not every white kid has advantages, some go through hell, get through school with no help, astronomical debt, and worked for everything. Should someone get help based off color? No.

Look at facts... Two kids go to all the same schools, same gpa, same extra curricular activities, and same financial backgrounds... One gets a scholarship based off of skin color, the other ends up with 50-60,000 in student loans... Doesn't seem racist at all does it.

If you want true equal rights let's get rid scholarships based on skin color, schools based on skin color, politics at all levels based off skin color, and finally treat people based off their merit versus their color. That's equal rights! If you want something, work for it! This country uses racism as an excuse to not be held accountable for ones actions. I know that sounds heartless and I'm sorry but color is the last thing that matters anymore and people using it as a crutch or an excuse should be ashamed of themselves.

U.S. Attorney General Holder tells Brownback new gun law is unconstitutional

Sorry, congress is just trying to make themselves exempt (WSJ, Forbes, Wash Post) shows me they have all the confidence in the world that Washington knows whats best... After all, the only people allowed to give away illegal guns (fast and furious) and buy millions of rounds of ammunition without question is Washington. I feel healthier all ready.

U.S. Attorney General Holder tells Brownback new gun law is unconstitutional

Funny... The federal govt can force Obamacare(meanwhile making congress and Obama exempt) down peoples throats yet calls this unconstitutional? Pot kettle theory once again for this administration.

Lawrence man faces federal prosecution for stolen handgun

So if someone breaks into a house rapes a girl its her fault for allowing a break in? That is the the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. You clearly know nothing about sizes of gun safes, trigger locks or for that matter anything about guns in general. Gun safes can be moved and broken into and that's not the owners fault. If your car is stolen is it your fault the criminal ran over an old lady? No. Your argument is that the victim (by your intelligent assumption) should be at fault because a felon broke into a house (again your theory that the owner is responsible) found a gun and stole it. That is insane!

Lawrence man faces federal prosecution for stolen handgun

Can you show me in this article where it says anything to back up your "irresponsible gun owner" theory? Nope.

Ok, you can go door to door and ask for everyone's guns and we can start over. Please compare apples to apples and not laws in the US versus those in Europe. I am sorry that FACTS in this country destroy your case but you cant ignore them just because they show real stats versus laws in jolly old England. I believe this country was founded by pilgrims who were escaping tyranny in England. You can't pick and choose which facts to use and ones to ignore. You can ask native Americans how turning over their guns worked for them if you like. Or you can accept that it didn't work out so well for them. This article is about a gun owner who reported the gun stolen and now the felon is headed to prison!
