Kansas plans to appeal sex offender registry ruling

After working with children who were the victims of sexual abuse for many years I've seen too much damage to have any sympathy for child molesters. Instead of a registry, I think a scarlet letter P for pedophile is more appropriate.

Kansas plans to appeal sex offender registry ruling

The court decided he was a sex offender, a child molester. The child will live with what happened to them for the rest of their life, why shouldn't the perpetrator?

Mexican restaurant Tapas closes as it loses lease on downtown building; Mexquisito expands into Eudora

Stop crying and go to El Potro Mexican Cafe on 31st Street (where Backyard Burgers used to be.) First off, free queso AND salsa to dip chips in! No other Mexican joint in Lawrence is that awesome. The food was incredible, inexpensive, and I had plenty for leftovers. Our server was very polite and attentive. I will DEFINITELY be coming back to El Potro. In addition, they offer a service where you can call in carry-out and pick it up at the drive thru window. Too cool!

Unwed births leading cause of poverty, panel told

You're absolutely right. Let's take tax dollars away from desolate children and let them fend for themselves.
If you have any moral conscience how can you actually believe that's the appropriate response to this issue? Just a guess, but you're probably religious and pro-abstinence, aren't you?

Town Talk: Downtown Italian restaurant set to open today; sad tale of how Lawrence Hereford House led to crime; city to recycle unwanted trash cans on Friday

That's basically Pasta Corner- You have Teller's, a Mediterranean inspired place Noodles and Co. across the street from that. The streets are practically flowing with alfredo sauce.

I worked at the HH Bar and Grill and we knew it wasn't going to last- the space was wayyy too big and development in the area hadn't contributed enough traffic yet.

Related- With Milton's moving around the corner and changing format, I'm curious to see what's going in the space. I heard that the owner of the property is leasing it to a friend instead of to real restaurateurs who wanted to buy Milton's out-right.

Man arrested after low-speed car chase

Glad the scumbag gave the cops a reason to arrest him, finally.

Tuition victims

I'm sure you've never tried to apply for a job without a degree, because otherwise you would understand that everyone, even poor people, need to go to college. Many college students have no other means to a degree without these loans.

Evidently, you're missing the fact that tuition rates spike as soon as grants or funding widens is irrelevant to you. The point is that higher education has become a greedy monster that refuses to self-regulate.
