People gathered Wednesday along a stretch of 31st Street near the Haskell/Baker Wetlands to protest the county’s removal of a beaver dam from a culvert underneath 31st Street. The removal caused water levels in the northern half of the wetlands to drop significantly.

I've been waiting my whole life to see someone on the side of the road with a "Honk if you have beaver fever" sign.

Hey! I didn't honk because I have "beaver fever"; I honked because you guys and your kids are almost standing in the street, and even if I disagree with you -- I'd rather not hit you!!

There were some more hippies out walking in the drained part when I came home from work today. Instead of whining, they should be taking the opportunity to study an area recently built up by beavers to learn more about them.

Anyway, the people with the signs are just like the phelps clan with a different agenda. You gotta love that first amendment. Without it we'd have no "beaver fever" signs.
