Kansas University students, from left, Lydia Gibson, Ryan Rastok and Karin Scott, sort through more than 20 bags of trash discarded at Wescoe Hall. The students were observing Earth Day on Thursday by evaluating how much waste at Wescoe could be recycled. KU Recycling and students in environmental studies participated in the study.
