Joda Totten joined other volunteers Thursday in hanging more than 1,000 brassieres on the railings of the Kansas River Bridge. The display is for the third annual Bras Across the Kaw campaign, which aims to raise awareness about early detection of breast cancer. The bras will stay up until Oct. 25, just a few days before a free women’s health fair on Halloween. The fair will be at the Heath Care Access Clinic, 1920 Moodie Road, and will offer clinical breast exams to uninsured individuals as well as provide other health information, pampering activities and prizes.
