Friends of 19-year-old Casey Alan Anzek gather Monday at the site of a car accident that happened early Saturday morning in the 2500 block of Ousdahl Road that killed Anzek and injured four passengers. The tree hit by the car has become a memorial site where those gathered recalled stories about Anzek.

expensive "FUN" - nothin's more thrilling than trying to outrun death-by-stupidity. In this case young people made an impulsive sacrifice for the sake of sowing some wild oats. We can all shake our fingers all we want but it'll happen again...and again....and again. Rebels become martyrs when they die for a cause. Would Casey consider himself a martyr or just the life & death of the party? Or would that be too complicated to think about? At least he went out with a bang, right??

What is the symbolism behind the confederate flag windsock? This is a tragic death and accident to many. My thoughts go towards all involved.

For starters: wheres the toxicology report? The kid that pulled on the steering wheel, has to live with that the rest of his life. Yes it is wrong to drink and drive. I have always told my kids if your gonna drink stay put where your at and call me. Dont try to get home stay off the streets. Furthermore, I think some of his friends have learned a lesson already, when they go to where their friends are and beg them stay put dont drive. Yes it will take awhile for my daughter in laws family to overcome all this. But she knows i am here for her. I have had to convince myself that when i go out my backdoor, that his car wont be in the parking lot of one of his best friends. I think most of his friends have learned something from casey. and for pick a name yes rocko and danielle had the baby thursday. They named him Casey,

Ok for fall of u people that did not know or meet Casey u just need to shut ur mouth. He was my best friend for over 8 years and no matter how much he drank he could always drive. I am the one that made the cross that wass on the tree and the empty bottle of jack daniles i left there. I have learned one thing from this whole thing. Do not drink and drive. But for this He was a great guy and just let him rest in peace....
