Members of the Lawrence Jewish Community Center hang decorations in a booth on Sunday in preparation for the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. Sukkot is a fall harvest festival during which a structure is built in historical recognition of ancestral Jews who dwelled in temporary shelters. Sukkot precedes another day of rejoicing, called Simchat Torah, which falls on Wednesday for reform Jews and Thursday for Orthodox Jews.
