Mark Slack, president of I-CON Underground LLC in Lawrence, explains how his company turns sections of resin-soaked polyester felt - such as the sample in his hands - into a new inner lining for existing pipes, such as the cut sample on the ground. Slack and his crew were working last week on Park Hill Terrace just east of Louisiana Street, an area where aging sewer pipes have shown signs of deterioration.
