City and county awarded historic preservation grants, but money is being delayed
as long as lawrence gets its pork barrel money, no one cares about the waste elsewhere

I am sure most of you agree the govt knows what is best for all of us
remember it is all about the kids
if the neighbors don't like it, they can sell their house and move
sure they own the home and pay taxes, but they do not own the night
the city owns that and don't you ever forget it

Lawrence falls short in bid for national ArtPlace grant
I think it is time all the art lovers drag out their checkbooks and show their support
of art in Lawrence, this is the best way to get us on the map
start sending those checks in, after all it is all about the kids

Lawhorn's Lawrence: Swapping more than parts at the Lawrence Swap Meet
the swap meet guys are a great bunch , and it is a good cause
but it isn't hard to figure out why young people don't want to get into
a hobby that involves hot hard work and rusty dirty stuff
it is a lot more fun to say home inside and play games
too bad, so sad
