Really takes balls to try & collect or collect insurance off a vehicle you killed somebody in & set on fire yourself. I knew he was responsible all along. Once his past history was discovered & exposed I had no doubts. I hope they have all the evidence they need to convict him. My question is why is he in Shawnee Co jail?

Douglas County homicide case, with ties to other crimes, remains open

My understanding of what is known of this situation was that Corey & his family were very good to Monroe from childhood on. Monroe was involved in criminal activities that the Brown's didn't know about such as for beginners being involved with violent distributors of crack cocaine with ties to Jamaican drug lords as far back as 2000 in KC. Apparently there were a lot of Topeka citizens that weren't aware of it. Monroe was fortunately able to weasel his way out of it though. It's really cold of you to state that Corey got what he deserved because I don't believe the Brown's knew of Monroe Lockhart/Aldridge's hidden 'other' life.

I would take it since Shawnee Co has refilled charges on Anthony that they have some new evidence of something. They sure are keeping quiet. Suppose we will find out come the 13th.

Ottawa woman sentenced in federal prescription drug case tied to death

From my understanding on what I have heard they were crushing morphine, oxycodone & hydrocodone & passing it off as meth. All are white so the buyer didn't know the difference until ingesting it. By that time, unfortunately for this man it was to late. I also understand that a lot of the drugs they were coming into possession of were obtained illegally through forged prescriptions in all participants names. They all deserve to be in jail because they all knew what they were doing. By that I mean they all were aware that the drugs were being mixed together & they all participated in illegally obtaining them & selling them. Mismith, I'm so sorry for the loss of your husbands friend. I can tell you I've been very close to a lot of addicts in my life, all from Ottawa. Been here all my life & have seen several I have even known all through out my years in school become addicts. Most 20-30 years out of high school had lost businesses that they owned, been in & out of jail, some having their children taken from them, others with adult children that have nothing to do with them, others with children that followed in their foot steps. People that I was close to during high school I am totally ashamed to admit I even know after seeing how they have lived their lives. People that look like walking skeletons their addictions are so bad & day after day they do nothing to try to better themselves because they refuse to acknowledge they have a problem. Some known to be locked up for extended amounts of time only to come out & do the same thing again.

These people were selling a deadly drug cocktail mix of morphine, oxycodone & hydrocodone, passing it off as just meth. When in fact it wasn't meth at all. Yes meth can be deadly by itself but the combination of these 3 opiates is extremely dangerous because each one of them by themselves slow down a persons breathing. Bad, bad idea. I believe these people were just out to make money off of whatever they could get ahold of at the time. Even if it meant lying to the buyer. I have known of this lady for several years because I have an aunt that is now in her 70's that used to play bingo & cards with her & actually became very good friends with her. My aunt broke off the friendship several years ago because this woman was constantly finding ways to con people out of money. She is very money hungry & seriously addicted to gambling & has been for several years. I'm 54 yrs old & have never known this woman to work a day in her life but she could afford to drive a new Chrysler 300 & her live in boyfriend that I've never known to work a day in his life drove a new pimped out Cadillac Escalade.

Day 3: From the Emerald Triangle to the Sunflower State

I've seen a lot of people addicted to meth. It takes awhile for your teeth to begin rotting out. Besides that a lot of people that are addicted to meth don't have the money to take care of their teeth & don't even care about taking care of their teeth because they don't care about anything but getting high. The way it sounds though these 2 had plenty of money to keep up with their dental needs. And I'm sure with them both living professional lives with businesses to run they are going to try to keep their appearance as well groomed as possible until they can't anymore. You're appearance don't go down over night. I lived with someone for a year before there were even signs of them using & not to long after it began to catch up with them. Smoking it is what is the fastest way to rot teeth. It takes quite a bit longer if a person snorts it. But most smoke it or shoot it because it's a faster, more intense high. A lot of them crave sweets after a binge also which only makes it worse on the teeth.

Sounds like he's already been convicted if he's incarcerated & awaiting sentencing in Leavenworth.

Day 3: From the Emerald Triangle to the Sunflower State

Looks like Bauman & his lady have been knocked down a few notches. Everyone dreams of having a home like the one that they were in the process of finishing. Most aren't greedy enough to go to the limits they did to get it. Makes me wonder if they were addicted to the cocaine or the meth along with pushin it? Most meth & cocaine dealers that were in Franklin Co. have a grandiose attitude that they are better than everyone that makes their living legally. Most that are now sitting in the federal pen were also in the delusional reality that they would never get caught either.
