Town Talk: Bikes and books and, oh my, doughnuts at Ninth and Mass.?; city to consider building public parking lot at Poehler building; Compton's incentives requests still in limbo

I'd like to see a Trader Joe's in the old Borders building. I know it's hard to keep a grocery store in that area, but come on! We all know hat would be awesome.

Burger battle gaining steam

They're building an In-N-Out in Texas. It's about 500 miles from here, which is the same delivery radius they have for SoCal. It's totally possible we could have in In-N-Out here someday.

When that day comes, they will be my favorite in town. For now, we LOVE Dempsey's (uh, Casbah now, I guess), but it's never been as good as the first time I ate there, right after they opened. The best burger in the world is Nessie Burger, in Fallbrook, CA. Any other CA transplants know what I'm talking about?!?

Easy green: Fast summer projects will make your home more energy-efficient — and save you money, too

I second the Westar WattSaver program. The installer was SUPER nice and professional, and the thermostat they put in is amazing.
