Traffic forecasting study considered
BrianR- Good study... get your name in for the money the county will spend for this service because they don't have enough common sense to figure this out on their own. The county commision is no different than the city commision.

And how much did this cost us to decide to hire from within? Next time the city needs a study or consultation, why don't they hire someone from Lawrence to do it so the money stays in the city! My fees are reasonable!

City Commission plans D.C. lobbying trip
It takes all 5 of them to go to Washington? Hope they utilize my tax dollars and not use this as a sight seeing visit. Stay on top of this Lawrence Journal World and let us know how much this cost us. If they come back with nothing then we will know better than to let them go again.

Phone hazard
10% are capable of driving and cell phoning? That's a pretty high number, don't you think? It's too bad people are so insecure that they need to be tied to the phone all hours of the day.

Critics of property tax increase say: 'Senior citizens are being thrown to the wolves'
The school board has already made up their mind to raise the mill levy. Does that mean if I show up for Monday's meeting it will be a waste of time? I think not! Quoting the article "Plus, board members point out that there hasn't been much public opposition to the proposed increase at school board meetings." Let your voices be heard people... I'll be there...will you?
