Well if you need more workers and don't get them then you will need your current workers to work more which will result in overtime. The only other solution is to make less work and since in this job that can't be controlled.the work has to be done. Or they could stop responding to some calls. which calls do you choose? It's not rocket science.

Senate Republicans approve sales tax increase, cuts in income tax rates, lower food sales tax
Its not really a tax increase for the poor. It's just makes them pay a fair share. Sorry but I am for a flat tax and this moves closer to it. Just because you only make 20,000 a year doesn't mean you should not have to pay any tax. You should pony up the same percentage of every dollar you make as I do.
And if you have money to spend on things then you have to pay tax on that. Thats how you get all those who cheat and make cash pay.
I do think the food tax should be lower because everyone has to eat.

and they never have what you need, unless it is a #8 common nail or a 1/2 inch copper fitting. I have boxes of those because they are something I use all the time.

Two men arrested in connection with Sunday morning shooting
They just have to stop serving alcohol, not close. Check thier website they are a bar and grill. They show a closing time of 4 am. It's away around the law. Resturants don't have to close.

City expecting 5 percent reduction in Community Development Block Grant funding
How about stop all the money. The goverment doesn't need to pay for private news letters or to fix private houses, I don't care if they are low income. Why can't eveyone just work hard for what they need. This is not socialism. I can't get a job so I need help from those who can find a job. This county was built by those who work to get ahead of the others. If you can't afford to fix your house then you make do or work more. If you can't afford a house then you pay rent to those who can.
I am sick and tired about hearing how the goverment has thousands, no millions of dollars to spend on some bs like news letters and houses where the occupants have money for cigarettes, soda and booze.
