At Kansas senators' request, committee will not consider Steve Six's nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals

It's called "senatorial courtesy," and has been practiced by both parties in power for a very long time. The senior senator from a state is asked if he or she supports the nomination of a federal judge who will be assigned to that state. Agree or disagree, it is nothing new.

Upcoming week big for Kansas basketball

Yes, because it is always better to tell recruits that the current players, who have dedicated at least one year to the program, and who were themselves highly recruited players out of high school, are terrible. Then, they can count on Coach doing the same to them next year. This way you build up real trust and commitment.

Morris twins sign with agent, will declare for draft

It's a tough call, but this may be the dumbest comment ever. Encourage them to leave? Where did you get this? You have no idea what their conversations were, who they have talked to, or any "advice" they have received. What do you want him to say now, "This is a stupid decision"? And for you to question Coach Self's (I'm not on a first-name basis like you) desire to win a national championship is simply assinine. And isn't the purpose of a school to prepare students for the future? I would have taken life as a millionaire in Europe. Sounds like good preparation.

School officials criticize Kansas House bills dealing with KPERS funding

But the benefit received is based on contributions previous to retiring. Even though the retiree works, and draws a pension at the reduced rate, the benefit never goes up, because they are no longer contributing. Those who complain about what others make should get a different job. I don't make much, but I made my choices and I will live with them now.

Recurring Morris twins trouble especially disturbing

I must have missed the forecast for "falling sky" today. My gosh people, it was one game. No consistency in Coach Self? Seven conference titles in a row isn't consistency? Unfortunately, so many see the entire season as 6 games. That's too bad. Do their behaviors on the court need to change? Yes. Are we all a bunch of spoiled, whiny brats? Yes.
