More than a decade after a citywide ban, fireworks still making noise in Lawrence
I feel sorry for all the young kids growing up through this ban. I remember as a kid having the 4th of July be my favorite holiday. I, as well as all my friends were safe with the fireworks. I would really appreciate it if the ban got lifted.

I don't agree with the ordinance. If someone doesn't want to slip and fall on the sidewalk, then just walk in the grass area where it's not been scraped. Simple as that. Don't punish people for something they can't control, like the weather.
