im just curious what exactly is family values cause it seem to come up when they try to regulate adult business and such? and does it really matter how close a strip club is to a school. i mean u probably can see more skin and action on tv and even more on the internet, and besides its not like u can really tell whats going on in the club since they have most of the windows block off from public view. and why is property value so important?

Kansas House advances bill putting restrictions on sexually oriented businesses

they forgot that when women work at strip clubs is not cause they not just want money but some of them can't find jobs, cause jobs look into your back ground, you can't have arrest record, you gotta have good credit. and somtimes they just can't find a job cause the economy. so what else can they do to help them support their kids....they will have to look toward us the taxpayers cause they would be applying for welfare checks in the future.

Kansas House advances bill putting restrictions on sexually oriented businesses

I found this very amusing, i mean there's no touch rule and that Supporters of the bill said they’re trying to protect Kansans from any damage to communities from adult businesses, which they said include blight, lower property values and higher crime. from what i read in the newspaper or even watch the news, there alot more crime happen around regular clubs and/or bars. and im wondering if ppl only base this off of what they hear on the news but never actually been to a strip club? i admit there are some problems in the adult business. but isn't there problems in other clubs. i think they use adult business to make it look like they are doing something about the problems that arise

26-year-old Lawrence man — accused of sexual relationship with 14-year-old girl — faces seven charges

yes there's law's but how many of us really follow it to the T. do you really think everyone is gonna follow specific laws too. some laws need to be updated and some need to be enforced. perhaps we just want to hold on to what innocent we have left, cause if we actually acknowledge it, it might show we as a people are going down hill.

Adult business bill stalls in Kansas Senate

there are so many problems they could try to face than adult business i suppose they want to go for the easiest wins rather than face the real trouble. and they say its to improve quality of life if it goes through all it going to do is make it worse lost of jobs, people can't pay their bills, no food on the table and how are they going to go look for real jobs if they can't get hired cause of so many ppl thats applying to them now. they might say crime will go down....well it might be cause so many ppl wont report the crime cause they have to give in to it just to make ends meet. if you look at the problems there's more happen in down town around bars and regular clubs than adult business so why do they try so hard to come down on adult business?

Kansan Kris Kobach helped write controversial Arizona immigration law

i feel this will do more harm than good in the long run, cause no matter how good nature law it may be you will always have some police officer that is on a power trip no matter where u go. and also dont forget that some native american people tend to look like mexicans also. there's so many problems that can arise from this law being passed just for the sake of getting a few illegal immigrants. is it really worth it.
