The end of an era: Mangino out at Kansas

It is too bad that it had to end like this but I will always remember the Nick Reids, the Todd Reesings and the Kerry Meiers. Coach Mangino had a way with those kind of players that nobody else wanted. When I was in attendance for that Nebraska at KU game, Novemeber 5th, 2005, the Jayhawks hadn't beaten the Cornhuskers since 1969. I have Mangino to thank for that! The goal posts came down and went into Potter Lake. LOTS OF GOOD MEMORIES! My hope is that Mangino will get another chance because he is a good coach, I don't care what anyone else says. I hope it isn't at another Big XII School, because as they say, "What goes around, comes around." Thanks, Coach--good luck to you!

FINAL: Robinson posts first double-double in KU's 98-31 thrashing of Alcorn State

UCLA and California are coming up--look forward to those games--if and when we lose our first game on the road (Texas could be that game), I'm sure the fans will rush the court. Did you see that Duke @ Wisconsin game last night? The fans came onto the floor and it was like they had just won the Final 4 Championship!

Mangino 'optimistic' he'll return next season

I like Mangino a lot. Loyalty means a lot to me. So, KU should be loyal to Mangino, too. However, noticing some of the comments coming in, it does give Lew Perkins opportunity to fire Mangino. ESPN said that even if he is retained, it could hurt possible recruits coming into the program. What do think?
