As city prepares to bid recreation center, officials still waiting to receive cost numbers from Fritzel on infrastructure
Running into hidden or unseen-unnoticed or unstudied buried rock ledges in the middle of laying water mains, sewers..... for either sanitary sewers or parking catch basin drainage lines could get expensive .
Also sounds as if the city needs to provide Fritzel with engineering specifications for the infrastructure to be built, so Fritzel can speak to the costs of that bill.
I am not of the belief that you sign a check with your good faith credit...... and hand it to a builder to fill out as they so choose ( sounds like great work....if you can get it )
The assumption that "giving all of the infrastructure work to one party, will keep the costs down", is just an assumption.....no more....no less .

Authorities believe Lana-Leigh Bailey's body was moved to Osage County after killings in Ottawa
An 18 month old child does not make a witness, at all,....so why did he kill the kid ?
Blessed are those who are merciful to children.......and self cursed are those who show no mercy to a helpless child, who was no real threat to themselves nor any part of creating any adult issues going on between adults .
Whatever happens to this person who did this in the future, he has earned his reward .

Tax cuts for the Kochs and all of the LLCs ( and their not liable for any damages caused by our company,.... ownerships ) How does that spell correction of the problem, when the money is not there to do it ?

Suspect in Ottawa killings charged with four counts of first-degree murder; could face death penalty
What bargaining chip does this dirt bag have, unless he knows that the child is alive and where she is ?
Maybe this is a cat and mouse game with the charges on the child ( as they have no dead body as of yet )?
A person like this guy could sell a child to some other low life for gosh only knows what purposes and it's just some other sick thing that they do for a profit or reason of some sort ?
Anyone having or returning the child would obviously know where they got it which could tie this guy to the adult deaths .
Or did he simply walk away and leave the kid on it's own to wonder off........a kid who was no threat, as a witness ?
Agreed, after laying in wait and attempting to murder another in a premeditated previous deed, he should still be in jail, for attempted first degree murder and never have been allowed to plead to second degree murder or ever be paroled till very, very old .
I hope that they find this kid alive .
Sometimes I think that people who do the murdering deeds, who are convicted on solid physical evidence ( eyewitnesses are not dependable in some situations ) by a jury and their convictions are upheld by appeals courts, should not be put to death so quickly and painlessly, as a society that is against cruel and unusual punishments, would dictate .
Why ? Because a quick game over death, is what murderers expect, as a worst case, if they loose big time. They are rolling the dice !
They either get away with it, spend life in prison ( or some version of that ....in a world that they usually understand and can function in ) or they get a quick, low suffering, game over, "almost video death".
The "almost video death penalty" . Got to be a huge deterrent, to first degree murderers........obviously, NOT !!!! .
Some of those folks are just mentally blind.... and no deterrent would work ! But some might think twice if our society didn't hand them such acceptable risks for punishments !

Bowersock officially opens $25 million power plant on the Kaw
Sorry, they ran out of gasoline money and didn't have enought to get a photographer to Kansas City Kansas ( and back ), to photograph street lights in KCK, powered by Lawrence's Hydroelectric plant on the Kaw . HA,HA,HA !!!!
The City of Lawrence needs to put an excise tax or localsales tax on that electricity going to KCK......in your dreams !

Bowersock officially opens $25 million power plant on the Kaw
I have heard that, one day in a conversation, about BC'S seldom use of their generating equipment,..... and I assume that running those motors costs more than running gas turbines, coal, nuclear, wind, hydro,......that buying grid power makes sense for them........ and that they function as a reserve generating source for local use or for sale to others when the price is right for BC's motors, that have to be maintained long term ......and expensively ! I'd hate to pay to overhaul one of those things out of my pocket !

I looked. KCKBPU is not the sewage provider in KCK . That falls separately under the KCK Public Works Dept..
Suppose that you live in Kansas City Kansas or KCMO and that a man comes on the TV between breaks in a show and says " in the news at ten o'clock, big water rate increases in Kansas City " !
Well then, you get to wonder for a while, what Kansas City it is,..... that they are talking about on TV ?
Is it KCK, KCMO or North Kansas City Mo. (NKC) which is a separate city all on it's own entity, from KCK or KCMO ( which is sometimes referred to as Kansas City North because KCMO is both North and South of the Missouri River ) ( understanding NKC and KCN all hinges on where the word North appears.......either before or after the title of Kansas City . Happiness !

You might be surprised at where Baldwin City sells their excess or other power to ?!
http://www.baldwincity.org/city-hall/...
It's kind of surprising how many writers of articles, refer to the Kansas City Kansas Board of Public Utilities ( a Wyandotte County Ks. entity ) as the Kansas City Board of Public Utilities which implies a connection to the KCMO area, Jo Co, etc including the refrence from the one above, from Baldwin City .
The Kansas City Kansas Board of Public Utilities ( KCKBPU ) sells both electricity, water and i assume that they are also the sewage treatment provider, in KCK .
