City condemns 24-unit apartment building on West 26th Street, issues eviction notices
I think the city is paid a licensing fee by landlords. If I remember correctly the fee is suppose to be used for city inspectors to do regular checks on the property to insure that the property is being well maintained. The fee is based on the number on units. No doubt it's the landlords job to maintain the property, but it is also important for the city to do regular checks to make sure the maintenance is happening.

Mother charged in child’s death
Coonrod - I have kids and take them to the grocery store weekly. I have never left a store with people thinking I beat my kids. I have a glass of wine from time to time and Im not worried that if my kid falls off his bike that I'm going to be blamed. The difference is, i put my kids before my own wants and needs. Thats what normal healthy parenting is about. Taking drugs and having them anywhere near your children is poor parenting. The government is protecting those who cant protect themselves from their own parent. Instead of worrying about this POS paerent, let's focus on the other living children and hope they can have a normal life after loosing a sibling.

Verdict reached in Sandusky child sex abuse trial: guilty on 45 of 48 counts
Why would a woman stand up for her husband after she found out her own son was abused? I'm sure she knew that Matt came forward before the trial. I'm glad he will spend his final days in jail but I would like to know how police have cleared the wife.

I disagree. I use my membership to have a pool to take my kids too. The Lawrence public pool is disgusting. Way too many people and they close it all the time for kids pooping in the pool. So gross!

Child injured at Raintree school expected to leave hospital
