Book Review: Though he's no Hemingway, Reesing delivers yet again

They are selling it. As of Tuesday, they were sold out. But they were ordering more. I'm sure you can find it a dozen other places in town, too.

KU stores, grocery stores, on campus...

Book Review: Though he's no Hemingway, Reesing delivers yet again

I won't argue with that but the point of me writing the review was not to spoil it for others. I simply wanted to give people a taste of what was in the book so they could decide for themselves if they wanted to buy it and read it.

I could be wrong here, but me writing about everything that's in the book would be a pretty classless thing to do to Reesing. Those are his stories, his experiences and it's his book. I'd rather people enjoy them because they read them coming from him, not from me.

Thanks for the comments, though.

Why Mario — not LeBron — should wear No. 6 next year for the Miami Heat

Well said. Although that team would've won gold with or without LeBron and many said that Carmelo and D-Wade were the best players on that team.

You're definitely right... most don't.
But a lot more than you think do.

Speed racers: Cyclists sprint through downtown

The Falls part was accidently left off in the story. It has been fixed and both are correct now. Thanks for the heads up!

Could today finally be the day for LHS vs. Free State baseball?

We were told that there was a conflict on Lawrence High's end of things with a senior recognition ceremony Tuesday evening and the administrators would not allow them to play the game that night.

Looks like the weather's going to hold for tonight's game, though, which is great because this pitching matchup should be at Hoglund Ballpark. All's well that ends well...

Not sure if it will be on the radio or not, kustrong.

Our first look at realignment and what it means for the Big 12

Well said... If we're talking purely about teams and athletics, you're exactly right. Unfortunately, this whole thing is about money and money changes everything so we'll just have to see.

Our first look at realignment and what it means for the Big 12

Agreed. I think TCU's a more likely Big 12 grab than Arkansas....

But you'd still need at least one more, if just two of the three — MU, NU and CU — leave. If all three bolt, you'd need two more. Yikes!!!

Feel a draft? Kansas products eagerly await fate in NFL Draft

He's certainly interested in seeing if someone will give him a shot, I just think he's also been realistic about his chances. It's going to be tough for him to make a team, but, like everyone who plays football for so many years, playing in the NFL is definitely a dream of Reesing's.

The thing about it is, he's smart enough to know that he might not get the chance and therefore has expressed openly his interest in exploring his options in the Canadian League or the Arena League.

My guess is he'll get invited to an NFL camp as a free agent. Whether he makes a team or not is a completely different story.

NFL Draft Spotlight on Darrell Stuckey

Great point, number1jayhawker... That would be very interesting. I'm not a Chiefs fan, but passing on Berry and taking a chance on Stuckey later in the draft makes sense to me.

Should be interesting to follow.
