LHS baseball coaches value fun, hard work on Class 6A state run

Great article about a great coaching staff! Coach Stoll and his staff definitely deserved this. Go get 'em at state!

LHS baseball sluggish in loss

i have no doubt in my mind Coach Stoll will have his team ready to play today, and be on a roll going into next weeks game against free state and sub-state. No matter how the regular season goes his team always find a way to get it done in the post-season. Good Luck Lions

Near-perfect plan: LHS boys basketball misfires at buzzer, falls to O-Northwest

In my opinion Pritchard takes way too many shots and doesnt make enough of them. I mean who does he think he is..Dorian Green?

LIVE FROM CLASS 6A STATE: Firebirds fall 9-1 to SMNW in 3rd-place game

It looks like the firebirds ran into a little bit of a pitching problem. So much for them having such a great rotation. Maybe if Hill didn't over use Scott last year he could have pitched like he used to. Congrats to the firebirds on a great "gold standard" type of regular season. Too bad they couldn't bring one home to Lawrence.

LHS baseball falls in 12 innings

skipper those rankings were partly based on how last years team finished, so to say they were the 33rd best team this year was not true, though they are struggling now, Brad Stoll usually has his team ready to go by the time the regional and state tournaments roll around. We'll see how they bounce back

Firebirds’ offense comes alive in win

Cchamber-
I don't know what your talking about telling Lawrence high to go out and win a state championship considering they won cross country the last two years, baseball last year, track and field in 2006. It seems to me that 4 state championships in 4 years is a pretty good accomplishment for LHS.

On the other hand. Good game by Marcus Ray it's s shame they couldn't say a little bit more about his performance and the same goes for Nick Hassig who had an outstanding game. And the secrets out about Lawrence high face guard Ray and press seems like no one else can do anything lately

Fight to the finish

fshsfirebird--
you are mistaken if you think freestate is going to win by 15. considering the firebirds can't score over 40 points a game, i find that hard to believe they will win by 15.

Fight to the finish

mom of three, turner led the lions in scoring as it says right there with 13 points, sure they could have rotated more players to guard graf but turner seemed pretty effective on offense to me.

on the other hand, great job marcus congrats on the shot!

LHS boys advance to title game

If Marcus Ray continues his hot streak until the Lions play freestate then the firebirds are in big trouble. Since it's at Lawrence High automatically you give the edge to the Lions but if Ray keeps this up it'll be over by halftime. Congrats Marcus keep it up my man
