Do you think Kansas legislative staff should be included in a proposed pay cut for state employees?

I don't understand why this is the question you decided to ask. Most people probably don't even know how these employees differ from other state employees. In fairness, yes, they should receive the exact same cut as the employees of any other branch in government. When the legislature isn't in session executive branch rules apply to they anyhow. However, I don't support the idea of cutting any employee salaries. This will do nothing but drive more talented people into private sector employment.

City utility bill 'adjustment' charge draws ire from Lawrence resident

That is so wrong! If it arrives on or by the due date, it's not late.

City utility bill 'adjustment' charge draws ire from Lawrence resident

This is ridiculous. Who in the world would know adjustment meant late fee? Hogwash. Good for Kelly for looking for some answers.

Another downtown property owner expresses concerns about late-night food cart operations

A downtown food cart is an awesome idea. I've often wished we had something like that. The idea of not wanting the city to allow carts because it will be competition is laughable. That's what business is. You don't have any guarantees that you'll be the only option, nor should you.
