Lawrence Chamber endorses school bond proposal
Good call. Improving schools is an important part of economic development but particularly with the tech ed portion of this bond issue, it makes sense that the Chamber would support the effort.

Editorial: Extra mile
Couldn't agree more. Jamie Shew has been consistently professional throughout his term and this recent effort just adds to that. He deserves 100% of the credit for how smoothly elections run in Douglas county. It's clearly his goal to make sure as many Douglas Countians vote as possible. We'll never know, and Jamie probably wouldn't say, but I'd be surprised if Shew wasn't making the call to Kobach asking for extended hours. Kudos to all involved in the effort!
