City Commission candidates disagree on how to serve homeless in downtown Lawrence
I'm glad this article was written now, because I would never vote for someone who would support any kind of downtown drop in center.

3 Spoons Yogurt closes Lawrence store
I always find Orange Leaf very clean. The one time I went to Three Spoons it was very dirty and that was a big turnoff. Management is huge, especially when you tend to have young workers.

Lawrence officer who died in auto accident had blood-alcohol level three times legal limit
Had he gone 6" to the right or left of that pole, there is a good chance an innocent person would have been killed. Perhaps someone coming home from their 2nd shift job. So it is not disrespectful to discuss this at all.

Recreation center and Rock Chalk Park Q&A
Final answer: Let KU do their own thing, go back to the $15 million rec center and put a new outdoor pool next to it.

More twists with recreation center project: KU Endowment now requiring city to pay for land; UPDATE Self's Foundation again planning donation to city
Once again, can we please get back to building the original West Lawrence rec center. If we have all this extra money, build another outdoor pool which is a guaranteed success. Anything else should be a private venture.

City to consider approval of proposed housing development southeast of Sixth and SLT, near Langston Hughes Elementary
Chad, do you know if Langston Hughes is full? Can they absorb all the development?

Lawrence family seeking to avoid homelessness, get to Northwest for new job
I don't think it's just a local problem. After the Te'o debacle, you have to wonder if they even teach investigative journalism anymore in the schools.

Town Talk: Papa Murphy's pizza, karate, wireless phone store and a credit union slated for new West Lawrence center
More exciting additions for west Lawrence ! I figured we were going to squeeze some more apartments on that pad. Any chance of ever getting any real shopping variety? Smallmart just isn't cutting it.

Library project moves forward
It reminds me of Wescoe Hall and that's not a good thing. This design does not fit in with downtown at all.
