Iwig dairy files for bankruptcy, plans to keep retail stores open for reorganization
I love love love Iwig! I will admit that the Lawrence location is difficult to navigate because of that parking lot, but I'm a devoted customer.

It's sad that he has nothing better to do than post irrelevant rants on ljworld. Kind of pathetic really.

Apologies if my jargon is not up to snuff. I want to reiterate that my use of verbage is not the point of this letter. I pay the property taxes on my home, call the neighborhood "my neighborhood", and shovel the public sidewalk to avoid fines. I really don't think it is incorrect to say "crossing my own street." Please get over yourself.

Petition seeks Kansas secession from the United States because of Obama's re-election
Just another reason for out-of-staters to think we're nuts. Sweet! No wonder we're seeing our population stagnate here, we're crazy!

I'm sorry, your reply was very hard to follow but.... we have shifted from a manufacturing nation to an information/technology based nation. What we "produce" is no longer physically tangible. If the US doesn't produce it's own erasers and socks, it doesn't make us an "non-productive" (which really isn't a term btw) nation.

Skinny, I believe you are a little out of touch with reality, and possibly the definition of freedom. Like someone else said, I'm pretty sure a 3% tax increase on the wealthy doesn't deprive them of freedom...It just increases their taxes.

Do you think it is important for children to learn cursive handwriting in schools? Why?
I can't believe the state is paying to do a study on this. What a waste of tax payers dollars. We can cut the funding to revitalize small communities, but don't touch the cursive handwriting. WTG Kansas!

Town Talk: Kia dealership expanding on 23rd Street; Police Department to get armored vehicle; developers asking TIF money to cover $695,000 in land costs at Ninth and N.H.
So, we need to prepare for something that may never happen? Is one shooter worth all of that money? I'd rather effort be put into acquiring something that will be used, not may be used.

Town Talk: City seeks to ban Chinese lanterns; Iwig Dairy store keeping eye open for new location; Zarco 66 owner deep in ethanol debate; electric car charging station for downtown
I love the Iwig store, but I agree the parking lot is pretty difficult. What about an area by Bob Billings and Kasold?? Who knows, I'm not up on the commercial real estate world.
