The name game

loved the artilce until the last sentence. Dave Matthews Band is the greatest band ever and Niccum struck a nerve putting them on the list. There is a story behind their name, look into and i dont think they would even be considered for this list.

im not familiar with them, but ive always liked the name Five for Fighting.

anyway, great article Niccum.

What summer movie are you most looking forward to?

thanks for ruining the ending for me, bob.

i think liberty hall is a much more enjoyable theater. i would recommend it to everyone over southwind. i hope there are some good movies there this summer because i love seeing movies there.

What summer movie are you most looking forward to?

i am most looking forward to m. night shyamalan's new movie "lady in the water". just saw a preview for it and it looks really good.

but the southwind is a really bad movie theater and i will probably want to leave town to see any movie this summer. i recently saw a movie on the country club plaza and really liked some of the policies that theater has. something along the lines of no one under 13 or 14 is permitted in any movie unless accmpanied by a parent at all times. if the southwind was more like a movie theater and less like a daycare center every friday and saturday night, i might actual give them a second chance.

Bar owner continues to fight smoking law

i have no need for a ring in my nose to lead me around. i am married and am quite used to being led around with or without a ring. i am not pseudo- or neo- anything, just hate second hand smoke.

i would gladly not go where there is smoking. but if smoking is allowed in lawrence establishments, then all of us non-smokers that wish to not be around second hand smoke are incapable of going into any establishment. there would be no escaping the smoke and i would be forced out of every establishment. my presence does not disrupt your dining, but your smoking does disrupt my dining experience.

we will never convince each other of our stance on this matter. so we will have to agree to disagree. have a nice afternoon marion.

Bar owner continues to fight smoking law

the smoking ban is one of the best and most progressive things to happen to lawrence in my lifetime. why should i have to be exposed to your cigarette smoke? your freedom to smoke is impeding my freedom to breath non-toxic air. slowly kill yourselves outside please.

thank you lawrence, for keeping the second hand smoke of idiots like marion out of my lungs.

Motel guest arrested in clerk's stabbing

ljreader, i think that is the funniest posting i have ever seen.

if red is right, i would also like to know why this guy got special treatment and got a 'get out of the drunk tank free card'. and why were the charges lowered to battery? does a knife accross the throat not constitute attempeted murder? if that is what really happened.
