Should students who opt out of military recruiter lists have their names withheld from school publications?
Another nifty rider on another piece of crap federal legislation...and we are surprised why?

Do you think the Chiefs have a shot at making the postseason?
The Chiefs or Tines? The Chiefs may not have a chance but Tines might. Then again he is as inconsistent at the Chiefs. If they are going to have a chance then they need to stop playing KU football and dominate both halves of the game.

Sheriff says man wanted on warrant shoots himself

Do Lawrence residents have a false sense of security?
I am more worried about the homegrown terrorists than any foreign terror group. Oklahoma City...homegrown, Anthrax letter...homegrown...Columbine High...homegrown.
WolfCreek is one of the safest places I have ever visted...I wish people would do their homework before they spout off about how dangerous the powerplant is.

School board OKs tax increase
If you are a parent of a child in Lawrence Schools you know that we pay almost as much out of pocket for public schools here than we would if we sent our kids to a private school. This money will not change a dang thing... I agree with macon47...that was a giant flushing sound and the bowl was full of crap.

New era for Alvamar; board offers to step aside
What does this have to do with the price of tea in China? Or better yet the price of gas in the world? I have never been more ashamed of my local paper than I am today. Top story...the rich are suffering in Alvamar...forget that people are dying in the middle east.
