Letter: Health police

It's Jonathan Jean. I'm not sure I get the joke... but I am not plugged into the popular culture. Sorry.

Letter: Health police

This was not satire! I honestly believe we can use technology and data acquisition to make our health care system the best, most cost efficient system in the world. Sorry, I'm not very technologically savvy, but there has to be a way to make sure people are guided to make healthy decisions.

Letter: Health police

It's gonna happen. Deep down, you all know it. I would add that food stores should be made to install weight scales at the payment terminals so that a person's general health can be monitored. If one's weight trend goes up, so does the amount of tax he pays on the purchase.

KU hires director of multicultural affairs

Dear KU student: Next time you bemoan the high tuition, consider that the administration is filled with people in similar, totally useless positions. How does someone in this position help you get a job when you graduate? I don't think a prospective employer will be impressed with "Sensitive to Multicultural Affairs" on your résumé.

In PC speak "Multicultural" = "Anything but White".

Obamacare is good for small business

A business owner who employs 50 or more at completely different companies would have to provide insurance at both, even if each falls below the threshold. I suspect that Mr. Day's stats ignore the percentage of small businesses owned by the same person.

Obamacare is good for small business

A business owner who employs 50 or more at completely different companies -- say, 25 at a car repair shop and 25 at a restaurant -- would have to provide insurance at both, even if each falls below the threshold.

Obamacare is good for small business

This opinion piece should have been titled "Obamacare is good for some small business, but bad for some, too".
It is bad for businesses who want to expand to greater than 50 employees.
It is bad for faith based businesses.

please feel free to add your own....
