Mail deliveries interrupted by snow; normal schedule should return Saturday
Haven't seen any plows West of Monterey Way except on the main arteries. I did see that they decided to have multiple crews cleaning up the snow in the middle of the streets downtown, during the day. That's just a poor management decision. Clear the streets first, then go back and do the clean up. The downtown streets are already passable. Let the night crews clean that up when traffic is absent. Also had the observer truck blocking through-traffic at intersections. Made absolutely no sense; block it where they're working is fine, but not the entire intersections. Some of these employees need training before they are given a vehicles and make the traffic situation worse. The streets that have been cleared thanks to the Sun and the pre-treatment.

Would you be more likely to recycle if the city had curbside recycling?
The city should just place recycling bins on the roundabouts and we can toss in our stuff as we circle.

What advice can you give incoming college students?
and use your signal when turning left or right. It doesn't matter who has to yield or who entered first, it's still a left or right turn.

Do you think parks or streets in Lawrence should be named for community members who have passed?
Let them name roundabouts, parks, and NEW streets after whomever they want. Don't rename existing streets!

Sound off: Are stop signs in grocery store parking lots legally enforceable?
I do support the death penalty in Kansas. failure to turn into the proper lane, failure to move out of the left lane on the hwy., failure to signal when changing lanes, failure to signal at roundabouts, pulling up to a stoplight when going straight in the right-turn lane...you know, serious offenses.
