Ministers to deliver petitions calling on Kansas Speaker O’Neal to step down
I agree that we should expect more from our political leaders, but Bob Dole was certainly no role model. Remember that comment about "Democrat wars?" Bob Dole wasn't given the title "hatchet man." He went out of his way to earn it.

Speaker O'Neal apologizes for forwarding email that calls Michelle Obama "Mrs. YoMama"
I had a hunch and googled your phrase "a self-absorbed little man." There were 9.41 million hits and, bingo, guess which one came up first? That's right, a link to Fox News titled, in part, "Limbaugh Unloads." But that doesn't come as any surprise to you now, does it? Is this where someone is supposed to say "Dittohead?"

Knology to no longer provide 2 Topeka stations
Exactly. It'll happen when the first big-dollar advertiser catches on and demands a lower rate.

Gingrich bucking political traditions
>> "It seems some people never have run a business and so have no idea just how fickle and unloyal customers are."
So, it seems you have something more to say about running a business and just how fickle and unloyal customers are. Please, do tell. You'll probably feel much better.

"Non sequitur. My point remains--it is NOT like any other insurance."
It's best to have a thorough understanding of the meaning of a word or phrase before casting it about like so much fertilizer.

Wow, I recognize those words! You're Sarah Palin, aren't you? By the way, good move shifting to "hopenchange" from "hopey, changey thing." They're both just great of course but, I don't know, the new version just sounds kinda sorta smarter, like it came right out of a fancy shmancy book or something.

So please tell us what state would allow you to drive after you cancelled your auto insurance?

Sorry to interrupt your riveting discourse, but since you folks find someone's facial features relevant to your fascinating assessments of their character and motives, it would only follow that those of us who aren't blessed with your extraordinary intellect might find it useful if you'd be so kind as to provide a recent photo with your next post.

Long-time Lawrence police sergeant retiring
I don't know Sgt. Hadl but have heard good things about her from those who do. You have to admire someone who has dedicated her life to a tough and often thankless job and has earned so much respect and affection along the way.
