Quick weeknight pasta dish that won't strain your wallet

I should add that you can substitute bacon for the pancetta.

Reasonably priced e.l.f. cosmetics are a great find.

What does it cost to outfit a high school athlete?

We did go to Francis first knowing about the discount. I believe it's 30% or 35% off Adidas shoes. I believe it's 10% on apparel. Unfortunately, my son has a wide foot and Adidas has never been a good fit for him. And Adidas does not make a wide width shoe. He tried the Adidas styles Francis had available, but none worked for him.

We bought what we could at Francis -- socks, glove, and bag. The guy at Francis was nice enough to give us 10% off the bag.

When spending your dollars, are you loyal to your pocketbook or your zip code?

Clancy, I've given 715 two chances -- the first time I went to this restaurant the service was horrific. My husband and I went for lunch on a workday. We waited and waited for our food, and when we finally got our waitress's attention to let her know we had to leave to get back to work, she showed up at our table with some olives and said the kitchen forgot to make our food. No apology. We walked out.

The second time we went to 715 was many months later. It was a Saturday night and there were 4 of us for dinner. Of the four, only one liked his meal.

I think the atmosphere at 715 is great, but not the food.

I am of Italian heritage. I grew up in Chicago and lived on the east coast -- New York and Connecticut. So maybe, I was spoiled when it comes to this type of ethnic food. But I'll tell you, Lydia's in Kansas City gets it right.

I'm getting that springtime feeling with a little help from Target.

We are not employed by Target nor do we get any "kickbacks" from Target.

I agree with you -- Lawrence needs a rink! My son plays for a travel team out of Kansas City. It is definitely a big time commitment. At this time, there are 2 travel hockey organizations in the Kansas City area that also have house teams. I believe Topeka still has a youth house league.

This recipe sold me on San Marzano tomatoes.

I have found the bocconcini at Dillon's. If you can't find bocconcini, I purchase the larger sized fresh mozzarella and cut into bite size pieces.

I have only purchased them canned whole.

Vertigo, I have not seen them at Hy-Vee. I purchased at Dillon's.

Katara, I have tried gardening -- including growing tomatoes. What I found is that I am so NOT a gardener. But I do love home grown tomatoes.
