The Devil's Avocado
The Devil's Avocado
Biography
One of the first, depending on which first, I guess. Sometimes not. Then last. I can't do physics.
How I came to live in Lawrence
Osmosis, of course.
Affiliations
I stick to things, sometimes. Like walls. Sometimes people, who are kind of like walls in that way. That way being capable of being stuck too.
Hobbies
I've always been a big fan of guitar, and games, but I burned out on Guitar Hero pretty quick. I'm trying to get past my thesis so I might write stuff I enjoy. I'm perhaps masochistically fond of picking fights with trolls.
Favorite Web sites
I flit from here to there, but I think I only flit in cyberspace. Maybe I weigh too much in real life.
Favorite music
Tool is still the only band that has retained relevance throughout my entire listening career, but I listen to other things. Especially anything by Genghis and the Mongol Hordes!!
Favorite books
His Dark Materials trilogy is one of the more interesting I've read in some time. Just got a giant tome of HP Lovecraft stories to go through.
Favorite TV shows
Well, I guess there's Heroes, but that's going downhill. The Daily Show is usually pretty good. Futurama too. The rest is likely anime that you've never heard of.
Favorite movies
Tops is still Usual Suspects.
Fond of the Lord of the Rings movies as long as I haven't re-read the books too recently. Anything by Hiyao Miyazaki.
