Biography

My name is Jessi. I'm a 26-year-old female currently residing in Lawrence with my wife Lindsey and our 'kids' - three cats, seven rats, a budgie, and a peach-faced lovebird.

I am an avid writer currently stuck working full-time as a manager in retail to pay the bills. Some day, I hope to quit my job and just write my little heart out... but that's not for the foreseeable future. I mostly write fantasy, although I've been dappling in young adult fiction a bit, too.

When I'm not writing, you can often find me hanging out on Ragnarok Online (iRO Iris Server!).

How I came to live in Lawrence

I moved to Lawrence in the summer of 2005 to be with my now-wife and two of my closest friends. Strangely, I met them all through an online video game that my wife and I still play to this day. I was finished with college, Ohio had nothing to offer me, and I certainly didn't want to move back in with my parents - so it was off to Lawrence!

Hobbies

I enjoy writing, cooking, reading, video games, manga and anime.

One of my biggest interests is Urban Decay. Things like abandoned train stations, closed amusement parks, and empty grocery stores fascinate me. I'm especially drawn in to dead malls, both empty and still somewhat functioning. My favorite dead malls include Dixie Square in Harvey, Illinois, and Metcalf South right here in Kansas.
