Attempt at MySpace intrusion criticized

I have a MySpace, and I write for a webzine. I actually have to use it quite a bit to contact bands, as lots of bands these days prefer to use MySpace or similar sites than to pay for a website that may not get accessed as much.

Unfortunately, I have been stuck without a computer at home for the past two months, so I'm forced to go to the library when I need to access MySpace or my e-mail. Yes, I also have friends on MySpace whose profiles I usually check out while I'm there, but the majority of my time there is spent working.

Chat with a city staff attorney about downtown Lawrence safety issues

'Chat about dowtown safety issues'

Hmm...something seems to be missing there, maybe a letter somewhere?

Fraternities look to recruits to freshen brotherhood ranks

It's nice of you to stick up for fraternities, Confrontation, but they get a bad rap for a reason.

My brother was in a fraternity for two years. Community service? Nay. The only community service they provided was not urinating in their neighbors' lawns when they were too drunk to walk inside to pee (and this was only during the week - weekends didn't apply).

Runner reports seeing mountain lion along river levee

"And if hunting still bothers anyone, just remember to hug that deer real hard when it comes through your windshield one night - it's probably as scared as you are."

Yes, so scared, in fact, that we should kill it. Kill all of them for trying to run across our roads. Maybe with the concealed weapons we're now allowed to carry.

Wal-Mart submits plans for Sixth St. development

As someone who used to live on that side of town, I feel that another Wal-Mart is not needed. I mean, you've got two grocery stores - HyVee and Dillons - within a mile of you already. Not to mention the Walgreens. I agree with some that this would just be a waste of money and space.
