Plenty of events coming to Downtown Lawrence, including some that might close streets
This was a great moment to watch our city workers in action. There were 12 people standing around doing a job that 2 people could have done. It will be much more fun to watch the day they build the pit!!

Humane Society director’s salary finalized at $70K
I've met the new ED and she seems to be a real sweetheart. And I believe that it's time to raise her salary. However, I can't help but feel that this is another slap in the face to someone who gave her life to the Humane Society for a number of years.
