Friends remember Lawrence woman who died in accident Thursday on Clinton Parkway

I live behind Southwest had the bedroom window open last night and could hear the accident. It was very very loud, even from a good distance off all the way behind Raintree. I drove to see the accident at ~5-10 minutes after the accident, it was very bad with many police officers on scene. When I drove by the abulance was just getting to the scene. I drove by again at ~11 and saw the street closed off and the abulance still there with the fire truck with the large flood light turned on. At that point I realized someone died.

I will say that prior to hearing the car crash I did not hear any breaks. I distincely heard the cars collide and then a long screech after the fact.

Prayers go out to the families, because no one comes out well from this kind of situation.

You moved from Cali to Lawrence, Kansas because Lawrence had freshmen in junior high?

Notes.
1. You must have that silver spoon somewhere still...
2. Lawrence was probably the closest city with this system to California.
3. I wish that had taught capitalization prior to you coming here.

Funny thing is it isn't really your decision. You are not elected, you are not informed.

1. It is broken. It is not effecient.

2. Lawrence is growing, you can not keep packing kids into high schools that can not hold them!

3. If you actually knew the situation, it is based on budget cuts, were 40+ teachers YESTERDAY had their contracts non-renewed. Education is like a business, you can't have more spending then you have money.

Lastyly it is DONE, it isn't an issue for debate any longer. They did not "push this through" they let Lawrence keep this backward form of school arrangement for 20+ years. Now we move into the modern era and people drag their feet, it is to be expected.
