Judge OKs $100,000 insurance settlement in fatal car accident

It also depends on how fast he was driving. If someone had been driving the normal speed limit, one could safely pull out in front of him/her. But but if he was driving excessively fast, that would make it not entirely her fault.

Maybe he was driving without headlights.

We don't know enough to judge.

Condolences to the family.

Brownback vows to keep Boeing in Wichita

And, he gets to pick and choose what type of government money Kansas receives? I thought he was preparing Kansas for the day when there would not be federal monies flowing into Kansas.

Statehouse Live: Brownback defends hiring IT chief as questions surface about degree

Didn't know that, thanks; I have a friend also who did the Universal Life Church minister license to marry other friends, but that was in another state.

Statehouse Live: Brownback defends hiring IT chief as questions surface about degree

Agreed; don't even bother putting a fake degree, even though it is a legitimate fake degree. His experience doesn't show progressive leadership and responsibility that is required to run an IT department, much less a state's information needs.

Statehouse Live: Brownback defends hiring IT chief as questions surface about degree

At least you can legally marry people. An unaccredited online degree is worthless. Less than worthless. Jobs like this should be a combination of experience and/or a degree. One year of outsourcing IT jobs overseas is not practical experience.

Kansans for No Income Tax hit the road to spread message of abolishing state income tax

nine states have no state income tax:
Alaska
Florida
Nevada
South Dakota
Texas
Washington
Wyoming

Nevada and Florida until recently received lots of revenue from hotel taxes through tourism. Kansas isn't likely to have a lot of tourism revenue
Texas has ports and oil. Kansas, very little oil.

Kansas doesn't have a lot of resources and i don't see how eliminating a state tax will spur growth. Very fuzzy math.

I imagine a lot of schools in Western Kansas will not be able to raise enough local property taxes to keep schools open.
