Letter: Late Night behavior

Jayhawks know better. I'm ashamed of the way some of us acted. I believe handing out tickets a few days ahead of the event seems the best way to resolve the problem. Only those who have tickets will show up and it would help with the traffic and crowd control. The idea of charging a fee and donating it to the local pantries sounds great, if we can find a way to lock out the scalpers.

Obamacare enrollment slow in Lawrence thus far

They are. It's MUCH easier to deal with the crowd from one state than 33.

Line-cutting, mobbing has KU Athletics reviewing Late Night admittance protocol

I'm glad it wasn't at Memorial Stadium when the storm blew through here.

I wonder how many of those who rushed the doors brought food items to donate? Charging a minmal fee would be better. They could only sell as many tickets as the fieldhouse will hold and then donate the money to the food banks. Win-win.

Letter: Future at stake

I expect this piece of legislation to be "tweaked" many more times, as other problems arise or to avoid new ones. I knew it wasn't the "perfect solution" in the beginning, but we had to start somewhere, and I think the PPACA is a great first step.

Put down those disposables: Parents embrace old diaper ways

I used the old fashioned cloth diapers with all 4 of mine and the first 3 grandkids, It IS much healthier for the baby and less expensive. People were sometimes grossed out when I had to rinse a dirty one in the toilet, but really, don't you wash your hands after you use the bathroom any way? Glad to see the trend is returning. I wonder how long it takes a disposable to break down in the landfill.

Kansas delegation holds position of making government funding contingent on delaying Obamacare

Better re-research it then. The website is being overwhelmed by demand. My daughter works in the call center handling the marketplace and yesterday the systen went down at least 3 times, once within 2 hours of it's opening.

Kansas officials on new health exchange: Be patient

Please be patient with the people running the Marketplace. They are just as overwhelmed as the website itself. Thanks, Brownback.

Kansas delegation holds position of making government funding contingent on delaying Obamacare

Exactly! Once it is fully instated and shows itself to be working, they'll change the name. Actually they will drop the "obamacare" moniker and call it by it's real name- Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
